“I recall meeting Shame Gang when he went by Shame. He has one of those faces that just looks familiar. He was in Durham walking down to Durham Central Park to meet Large Professor.

I believe I had just finished rapping in front of Large Pro, and to be honest, I tried to do a new verse I had written as a part of a small cypher. I didn't remember it well and he definitely wasn’t impressed, but Shame was excited to meet him nonetheless.

I let him know that Large Pro was still down the hill, and he informed me that he had a show coming up on Sunday, and that he consistently hosted an event at The Pinhook called Shame Sundays.

I would eventually get an opportunity to perform at a Shame Sunday, and have been keeping up with him since.

One day I saw that he was looking for extras for a music video. I reached out for the location and we wound up shooting “Get It Started”.

Everyone on set was cool, the vibe was super chill, and most of the video I was beside the homie Professor X.
